LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Goodbounce Pickleball Yard on River Road in Louisville will soon add three PATL courts.
Pronounced like "paddle," the sport combines elements of tennis, squash and badminton.
"Bringing PATL to Kentucky is a dream come true” Andrew Herring, a Kentucky native and co-founder of PATL, said in a news release Monday. "As a native of this great state, I am immensely proud to introduce padel to the people of Kentucky. PATL is not just a sports facility; it's a homecoming for both padel enthusiasts and all to connect, compete, and celebrate the spirit of our beloved Bluegrass State."
This will be the second location for PATL, with the first site being in the Chamblee area of Atlanta.
Goodbounce will host a special launch event April 27 for Patl. It will feature exhibition matches, a brief overview of the sport and a festive atmosphere.
