LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is bringing 750 employees to the LG&E Center in downtown Louisville.
The agency will occupy 16 floors of the 23-story tower, from the basement to the 16th floor, as reported by our partners at Louisville Business First.
This move follows our previous coverage of the Corps leaving its longtime headquarters at the Romano Mazzoli Federal Building.
Renovations are set to begin on four floors the Corps will soon occupy, totaling $3 million, with Miranda Construction handling the work.
Officials said the new space will better serve the agency’s workforce and the public.
The LG&E Center lost its main tenant nearly two years ago when LG&E vacated 14 floors.
The building, owned by Chicago-based Perennial Investments & Advisors, has more than 285,000 square feet of office space.
