LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's a new worker at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport ready for Halloween.
The airport posed a plastic skeleton around terminals on Tuesday. The skeleton can be seen at ticket kiosks, trucks and baggage vehicles.
"He may not have muscles, but he's pulling his weight," Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport posted on Facebook. "Today, our favorite friendly skeleton is lending a hand behind the scenes, making sure everything runs bone-smooth."
Earlier this year, the airport celebrated the busiest summer yet. From May through August, about 892,000 passengers took flights from the airport. That's an almost six percent increase over 2023, which was the airport's best year ever.
SDF was the nation's fastest growing airport in 2023, according to officials. It's served by eight commercial airlines, which operate flights to more than 35 nonstop destinations around the country.
