LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â Southeast Christian Church is merging with another church.
Leaders at Southeast say River Valley Christian Church in Goshen approached them several months ago about a possible merger. River Valley's congregation approved the merger in a vote Sunday morning.
"We're excited to share with you that the River Valley Church Family voted and agreed to join the Southeast Christian Family," Southeast Christian Church pastors Dave Stone and Kyle Idleman wrote in an e-mail that went out to Southeast members on Sunday. "We're grateful that River Valley and Southeast are like-minded churches who have similar missions, and who are unified under the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Eph. 4:13). Join us as we praise God for this unique opportunity to continue to build His church as we share the hope and love of Jesus throughout our communities."
Southeast says it is working out several details, but this new Southeast campus should open in the spring.
This will make the seventh Southeast campus.
