CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — It has been a staple of southern Indiana for a century and now, it's going to shine brightly again.
On Saturday, the Clarksville community came together to see the iconic Colgate Clock light up again thanks to a partnership with Clarks Landing and the Town of Clarksville.
The Colgate Clock, located on Clark Boulevard, has not worked for years.
"It's a big symbol for the area, and I was just telling someone else it means home to me every time we went to Louisville, we came back across the bridge, I knew I was home, even as a little kid," Dawn Troutman, Clarksville resident, said.
The area around the clock is being considered to be redeveloped into a hotel, restaurants, and apartments.
