LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man will spend 27 years in federal prison for drug trafficking.
Chicoby Summers, 29, was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison for possession and intent to distribute fentanyl, heroin and cocaine and possession of a firearm, according to a news release.
Summers was also sentenced to two additional years, that will run consecutively with the 25-year sentence.
Summers and his co-defendant, Jerlen Horton, were found guilty by a jury in July.
Horton, 30, was sentenced in November to 29 years and six months for possessing and intent to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm.
Summers and Horton were arrested in California after a two-hour standoff in Long Beach last August after nearly two years on the run.
The ATF previously said both men are in the Victory Park Crips, a Louisville street gang.
