Jeffersontown Fatal shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot and killed Wednesday inside an apartment in Jeffersontown.

Jeffersontown Police Maj. Brian Foreman said officers responded around 12 p.m. to The Pointe at Stoneybrook Apartments on Arbor Pointe Drive on a report of shots fired. They found an apartment door slightly open and stepped inside to find a man inside dead. Foreman said he was in his late-20s or early 30s.

Police said there's no threat to the general public, though the shooter is still at large as of this writing.

"Everything right now points to the victim and perpetrator probably knowing each other," Foreman said at the scene Wednesday. "It was probably more of a unique incident between them as opposed to a random at-large crime."

Anyone who has tips or surveillance footage in the area is asked to call 502-267-0503 or email crimetips@jtownkypd.org.
