LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is in the hospital after being shot in the Southside neighborhood on Saturday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said police responded to a man with a gunshot wound at 3rd Street and Woodlawn Avenue at the Circle K around 4 a.m. He was shot in the leg.

The man was taken to University of Louisville with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Ellis said police believe the shooting happened in the 600 block of Douglas Park and then made his way to the gas station. 

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating the incident, but there aren't any suspects.
