LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville police are searching for suspects after a teen was shot in west Louisville early Wednesday morning.Â
It happened just before 1 a.m., near Ninth and West Jefferson Streets according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police. Officers responding to the shooting report found the victim -- believed to be 16 years old -- in a parking lot with a gunshot wound.
Officers administered first aid until EMS arrived and took him to U of L Hospital for treatment. His injuries did not appear life-threatening, according to the release.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, but there are no known suspect(s) at this time.
