LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Public Schools will return to in-person instruction on Thursday after two consecutive Non-Traditional Instruction days due to severe winter weather in Louisville.
"We look forward to seeing all students and staff on Thursday," JCPS spokesperson Mark Hebert said.
Temperatures were expected to range from single digits to the teens through Wednesday, and wind chills are expected to get below zero.
JCPS spokesperson Carolyn Callahan said students and families received school-specific NTI plans last week.
The state's largest school district decided to utilize NTI on Tuesday and Wednesday due to road conditions and frigid temperatures. All extracurricular and athletic activities were canceled.
