LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thousands of University of Louisville students returned to class Monday.

The fall semester started Aug. 18 for all undergraduate and graduate students. Most freshmen students have been on campus since Thursday, with many upper-classmen moving in over the weekend.

UofL said it's estimating a record 25,000 students for this school year.

Aug. 18 is also the first day of classes for Eastern Kentucky University, Western Kentucky University, and Kentucky State University.

The fall semester for students at the University of Kentucky and Indiana University starts Aug. 25.
