LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Spalding University is offering priority admission to students from the University of Louisville Health and Sport Science program.

According to a news release, Spalding will extend priority admission status to students seeking advanced education in athletic training, occupational therapy and physical therapy. The partnership offers University of Louisville Health and Sport Science graduates preferred admissions status when applying to Spalding's Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT), entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD), or entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs.

The designation ensures guaranteed interview opportunities with program admission committees and provides students a discounted rate for the first academic year at Spalding University. 

"We are thrilled to collaborate with the University of Louisville to provide this exclusive pathway for aspiring healthcare professionals," Dr. Alma Mattocks, chair of the School of Athletic Training at Spalding University, said in a news release. "This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering academic excellence and empowering the next generation of healthcare leaders, while supporting our community partners."

Eligible applicants must complete the admissions criteria for Spalding University's programs.
