LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Winter weather has already made a significant impact on school calendars in the region, with many students staying home or districts using planned remote learning days.
Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) has already used five of 10 non-traditional instruction (NTI) days Kentucky law allots for the school year. NTI days do not have to be made up.
Snow days, however, when school is closed, have to be made up, if they are not forgiven by the school board. Currently, JCPS has used six snow days.
Potential changes to the JCPS calendar will be brought to the board at the meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25.Â

For Oldham County Schools, it has used all 10 NTI Days allotted, and two snow days.
Makeup days were already built into the calendar at the start of the year. As of right now, the last day for Oldham County Schools is May 29. According to the district's website, those built in makeup days are May 28-30 and June 2-3. To view the current Oldham County Schools calendar, click here.
As for Bullitt County Schools, they have used six out of the 10 NTI days allotted. The district also used three snow days due to district-wide illness on Feb. 5-7.
Bullitt County Schools revised its school calendar on Feb. 5, and you can view it here. Currently, the district's last day of school is May 29. Possible snow makeup days are May 21-23 and May 27-30.Â
Over in southern Indiana, New Albany Floyd County Schools will be making up their snow days in March.
Spring break is always two weeks, but the first week is reserved for makeup days. Right now, the first week of spring break will be a mix of in-person and remote learning.

Clarksville Community Schools have fared better this winter. The district has only used one traditional snow day, that's already been made up.
