LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man charged with intentionally setting a high school on fire pleaded not guilty in court Saturday.
Kaleb Pierce, 18, is one of two people charged with second-degree arson, burglary, and criminal mischief in connection with the fire at Moore High School.
The other person facing charges is not being identified because they're under 18.
The fire happened Aug. 1 in the school's Health Science building, according to JCPS officials, who said the fire caused $1 million in damages.
During Saturday's arraignment, the judge set a $50,000 bond and ordered Pierce to remain on house arrest until his next court date on Aug. 18.
