LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is expected to survive after being hit by a train off Dixie Highway Monday night.
According to LMPD, the man was hit in the area of Meyers Lane shortly after 10 p.m.
When officers arrived, they rendered first aid to the man, who was semiconscious, and EMS took him to University Hospital.
The train conductor told investigators that the man was sitting on the tracks. They sounded the horn to gain his attention and tried to stop but could not avoid hitting him.
LMPD's Third Division is handling the investigation.
