LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new playground is coming to a Louisville park to make sure all kids have the ability to play.

Louisville Parks and Recreation is investing $349,237 to upgrade the current play area at Seneca Park to make it ADA accessible.

Crews will build a new playground, with poured-in-place surfacing, a companion swing, and other equipment children with all abilities can use.

Midstates Recreation was awarded the contract to complete construction, according to a news release. The public is asked to avoid the construction zone as the new playground is being built, though no other areas of the park will be affected by the project.

Demolition started Monday, and the playground is set to be finished in two weeks.
