DALLAS, Tx. (WDRB) -- The Dallas Police Department took to Twitter to say that reports of their headquarters being on lockdown were untrue.

Officers say the SWAT team and K-9 unit were seen searching the department's parking garage after employees reported a suspicious car.

Sources tell our Dallas affiliate it was actually an undercover car, not registered in a vehicle database.

That situation happened after reports that Dallas Police received an anonymous threat against law enforcement.

While there were reports of shots fired near the department, police say there was no gunfire.

After a manual search of the garage, no suspect was found but a secondary search was conducted by the department's K9 unit as a precaution.
