The university said Wednesday that the requirement applies to all students who plan to move into residence halls and attend classes this August in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The school plans for roughly 40,000 students to be tested before the year begins.
Thirty-six students at Purdue University have been suspended for partying and violating the Protect Purdue Pledge, according to a university spokesperson.
