A man who was hospitalized critical condition after a shooting Thursday morning in the Portland neighborhood died Friday.
The accident happened about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.
He was transported in critical condition but later died at UofL Hospital.
Officers believe the man was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and was ejected from the bike.
According to LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis, the crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. on Seventh Street Road at Wurtele Avenue.
Lorenzo Johnson ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, ejecting the driver and causing damage to a building.
The driver that hit the person was arrested on scene after showing signs of intoxication.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
Investigation revealed the man was traveling southbound of Blue Lick Road at a high rate of speed where he lost control and hit a minivan.
The man was transported to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Ellis said.
