According to LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis, the crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. on Seventh Street Road at Wurtele Avenue.
Police said the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Applegate Lane near Joyce Drive when the person lost control.
The crash was reported in the southbound lanes, near the Louisville Muhammed Ali International Airport.

Police said a van was traveling east on Valley Station Road and hit a pedestrian in the roadway who was walking in the eastbound lane.
The woman was attempting to cross the street when she was hit.
