A man was shot and killed in Louisville’s Park DuValle neighborhood Sunday night, and a responding officer was injured when a vehicle fleeing the scene struck them.

Officers were called to the 3500 block of Parthenia Avenue just after 8 p.m. Friday on a reported shooting.

A death investigation is underway after Louisville Police's River Unit recovered a body Monday from a car that went into the Ohio River on Saturday.

Zeinab Abdi, 40, was arrested June 19 on charges of attempted murder and domestic violence.

LMPD responded to a report of a person down inside an apartment at the Hillebrand House in the 1200 block of South Third Street July 11 around 2 p.m. 

The family of Latasha "Tasha" White, 49, identified her Thursday as the woman found shot to death on Newport Road off Fegenbush Lane Wednesday night near GE Appliance Park.

Police said a man was shot in the 1000 block of Bardstown Road and drove a short distance before the crash.

Last Sunday, LMPD responded to a shooting in the 5500 block of New Cut Road. When police arrived on scene at the restaurant, they found a woman who had been shot outside of the business.

Police believe the man was "hanging on the outside of" a vehicle that was driving down South 4th Street near Winkler Avenue. 

In an update Friday morning, police said that driver of the vehicle the man was hanging out of was not responsible for his death after initially saying he "swerved into oncoming traffic intentionally."
