LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Baseball fans have the chance to see the Louisville Bats take the field ahead of Opening Night.

The AAA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds return to Louisville Slugger Field this week. The Bats play the Memphis Redbirds on Friday in the first game of the season. But before then, the Bats will host two open workouts Wednesday and Thursday. 

On Wednesday, a workout will be held from 6:45-8 p.m. The following day, a workout will be held 1-3 p.m.

This weekend, the Bats have a variety of promotions for the opening series of the year. 

On Friday, gates will open at 6 p.m., and first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans will receive a 2025 magnet schedule, and 12-ounce cans of Miller Lite and Coors Lite will be offered for $3. There will also be postgame fireworks. 

On Saturday, first pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. Kids reserved tickets are available for $5 when accompanied by a full-paying adult reserved ticket. 

The final game of the series Sunday will start at 1:05 p.m.
