LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thunder Over Louisville is just a few days away, and Jeffersonville Police are making sure their residents have all the information they need to have a fun and safe experience!
Maj. Joshua Lynch from the Jeffersonville Police Department visited WDRB Mornings on Monday to give his tips and advise.
As far as parking goes, most of the parking on the streets of Jeffersonville is free. If you are planning on parking on the street, Lynch recommended to go early.
The earlier you arrive, the more spots that will be available.
If you are coming to the Waterfront to watch the show, picnic blankets, plastic bottles, and chairs are allowed. Tents, canopies, drones, glass bottles, and pets that are not service animals are not allowed.
When the show is over, it's important to have a plan as to where you are going and to have some patience.
"If you're at a function, stay if you can," Lynch said on WDRB Mornings. "Give time for the traffic that needs to leave immediately to get out of the area."
Lynch said to avoid Court Avenue and Spring Street, and go east to Utica Pike if possible.
