LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Clark County Auto Auction raised more than $50,000 in funds for Childplace Family Services.
The local nonprofit provides essential care and support for children and adolescents in need. The donation of $51,616 was made in conjunction with the auction’s 42nd Anniversary Sale, according to a news release.
The check was presented during a ceremony at the auction's headquarters off 10th Street in Jeffersonville. It's the largest contribution in the history of the auction’s longstanding partnership with Childplace.
The funds raised by Clark County Auto Auction will go toward Childplace's Christmas Fund.
The money was raised through several events.
"Clark County Auto Auction is more than just a business -- we are a part of this community, and it’s incredibly important to us that we support the children who need it most," said Paul Fetter, General Manager at Clark County Auto Auction, in a news release. "We’re so proud of the work we’ve done with Childplace Family Services and thrilled to have raised the largest amount ever in a single year. These funds will help ensure that every child at Childplace has a memorable, joy-filled holiday season."
Any remaining funds will be directed toward other needs of the organization.
