LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A popular local market is showcasing the finest of Kentucky at its brand new second location.

A ribbon cutting was held Thursday at the Haymarket's second location on East Market Street, between Clay and Shelby streets in NuLu, just outside downtown Louisville.

The farm-to-table marketplace features farm-fresh groceries and grab-and-go meals, including a unique variety of fresh produce from Ashbourne Farms in Oldham County, along with local farm-raised meats. It also stocks food brands from around the country.

"It's so close to the original Haymarket and really pays homage to the idea of bringing local farms into the urban area and making high quality groceries accessible, especially in NuLu where you've got all these residents that don't really have access to walkable groceries and things like that," Annie Cobetto, CEO of Ashbourne Enterprises, said.

As part of Thursday's ribbon cutting, guests could take store tours and watch product demonstrations.

Haymarket's larger flagship location is on River Road, near Zorn Avenue on the site of the former Lebanese Country Club.

The original Haymarket by Ashbourne Farms opened on in 2023. It offers made-to-order meals, farm fresh produce, baked goods, flowers and more.
