LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --Â People can sign up for TSA PreCheck in Louisville in December.
The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport partnered with IDEMIA, a TSA PreCheck authorized enrollment provider, to host an enrollment event. It will take place from Dec. 3 through Dec. 20.
Appointments are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Saturdays and Sundays.Â
TSA PreCheck is for low-risk travelers, and makes the airport security process quicker by providing dedicated TSA PreCheck screening areas in more than 200 airports across the country. Also, travelers enrolled in the program don't have to remove shoes, jackets, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids and belts.
The enrollment event will be located on the ticketing level, immediately behind the Spirit Airlines ticket counter in the terminal. An in-person interview will be required, and applicants should bring proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprints and a photo.
After the in-person interview, applicants should receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) in three to five days. That KTN should be used when reserving all flights to get the TSA PreCheck benefits.Â
