LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville bar will close permanently after six years in the city's Germantown neighborhood.

ShopBar, a bar and boutique at the corner of Barret and Highland avenues, will close its doors Monday, June 30, co-owners Natasha Sud and Gerald Dickerson announced on social media Monday.

"Thanks to everyone for your support these last six years," the post read. "It's been a great ride!"

This is the second time this year the bar has announced its intent to close down, according to our partners at Louisville Business First. The first was posted Feb. 27, though no final date was given and the business remained open.

ShopBar opened in September 2019 in a 100-year-old garage and office space. As its name suggests, the business is part bar — serving up cocktails in the 800-square-foot garage portion with indoor dining and a pergola with outdoor seating — and part boutique. The 250-square-foot office space was transformed into a boutique with vintage clothes, jewelry, artwork, handmade items and more.

Leading up to the closure, the boutique side of the bar will run sales and specials on items.

LBF reports the property is owned by Clifton Properties LLC. It's located along the Barret Avenue corridor that includes vintage store the Nitty Gritty, Better Days Records East, Fat Rabbit Thrift & Vintage, Glow Worm Cafe & Play and Big Bad Breakfast.
