LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville grocery is planning a big expansion.
Paul's Fruit Market is planning to expand its Taylorsville Road store to the adjacent property, as reported by our partners at Louisville Business First.
Construction is expected to cost $1.7 million, adding more than 6,600 square feet to the store.
It’s unknown what renovations will occur and when construction will begin.
This comes two years after Paul's moved its store at 4946 Brownsboro Road down the road to 4966 U.S. 42 near Holiday Manor, nearly doubling the size of the store. The U.S. 42 location is the company's largest store.
Paul's Fruit Market was founded in the 1940s on Barret Avenue by Paul Thieneman. There are two other retail locations in Louisville at 3922 Chenoweth Lane and 12119 Shelbyville Road in addition to a distribution center at 4601 Jennings Lane.
