LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Police are  investigating the city's first shooting in 2025, after a man showed up at a hospital early Wednesday with a gunshot wound. 

The man walked in to Mary & Elizabeth Hospital on Bluegrass Avenue just before 1 a.m., according to a news release from LMPD. Officers from LMPD's 4th Division responded and found the victim -- a man believed to be in his late 20s -- with a gunshot wound to the hand.

Detectives with LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Squad believe the shooting happened in the 7000 block of Terry road in LMPD's 3rd Division.

There are no suspects at this time, but police ask anyone with information to call LMPD's Crime Tip Line at 502-574-LMPD (5673). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department's Crime Tip Portal by clicking here.
