LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The University of Kentucky Police are investigating after a student was assaulted on campus.
UK Police received a report of a person strangled in their room in an on-campus residence hall on Tuesday, police said in a statement Wednesday.
The victim also reported they were sexually assaulted.Â
Police said the victim and suspect are both UK students, and the victim knows the suspect.Â
UK Police said they are "actively investigating this matter," and campus organizations are providing resources to those involved.
