GRADUATION - DIPLOMA - SCHOOL GENERIC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nearly 92% of Indiana seniors graduated in 2025, setting a new state record, the Department of Education reported.

Graduation rates rose across all student groups, including Black, Hispanic, white, English learner, and special education students, as well as those from low-income households.

“This strong improvement in our state’s graduation rate shows that when we focus on academic excellence and establish clear, personalized pathways, our students thrive," Gov. Mike Braun said.

Education Secretary Katie Jenner highlighted gains in literacy and attendance, noting the rollout of the Indiana diploma and readiness seals.

Federal data showed Indiana’s graduation rate reached nearly 90% in 2025.
