LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville football player spent some time giving back on Wednesday before he enters the NFL Draft.
Ashton Gillotte, a standout defensive lineman for UofL football, spent time wrapping gifts at The Lord's Kitchen.
The Lord's Kitchen provides support and spiritual encouragement to those dealing with food insecurity, displacement and addiction.
Gillotte said he's had many mentors in his life who've taught him the importance of paying it forward.
"I think a lot of people really don't understand how much they have and just being able to give back during a time when someone may not have, may have just lost a family member or they may not be getting presents at home or something like that, it's just creating impact," he said.
Gillotte said he'll be in Louisville for a few more days before he heads back home to Florida, then on to his training location for the draft.
The NFL's scouting combine will be held in late February next year.
