LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Families had a chance to get up close and personal with monarch butterflies in southern Indiana on Sunday.
The annual Monarch Fest took place at Art on the Parish Green this weekend.
St. Paul's Campus in New Albany was all about creativity and activities honoring the monarchs and showcasing local artistic talent.
There were music performances, art installations, vendors, educational workshops and butterfly conservation.
Guests could also feed the butterflies.
"The monarch butterfly is actually the mascot for the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana so we just love the journey of the monarch and everything it stands for and how they are so wonderful for the environment," said Paig Trinkle with the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana.
There was also a butterfly release and interactive displays.
