LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An Oldham County high school student got a perfect score on the ACT.

Cooper Judy is a senior at North Oldham High School. WDRB caught up with him before soccer practice Thursday.

Cooper just scored the coveted perfect 36 on his ACT exam, a national exam high school students take for college admissions.

So how did he pull it off?

Cooper said he took the test four times and worked with an ACT tutor before getting a perfect score.

Cooper offers some advice to anyone trying to increase their scores on standardized tests.

"Don't overthink it," Cooper said. "Get sleep the night before. A lot of people will cram the night before to try and lock it in, you see this on AP tests, too. Don't worry about it. The night before, at that point, you're not remembering anything."Ā

As for colleges, Cooper said he's still looking, but wants to go to school somewhere in a city.
