LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A overnight crash involving a semi closed all northbound lanes on Interstate 71 for several hours and into the early hours of Friday morning.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis saidĀ the crash happened near the Watterson Expressway and was called in at 11 p.m. Thursday.Ā
A semi and a passenger vehicle were involved, causing the semi overturned on the interstate.
One person was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the driver of the semi was not hurt.
Ellis said with the help of KYTC, Suburban Towing, and the Anchorage/Middletown Fire Department, the incident was cleared before the morning traffic commute.
The cause of the crash in unknown and officials are investigating.
