LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Snow started to fall in the early morning hours Tuesday across southern Indiana and Kentucky, blanketing several parts of the region with inches of snow.
A winter storm warning was put into effect Monday evening and is set to expire Wednesday morning. Several inches of snow were forecasted for the Louisville area, with some areas potentially getting up to half a foot of snow.

Road crews in both Kentucky and Indiana were out pre-treating the roads Monday and worked throughout the night to make sure streets were safe and equipment was ready once the snowfall hit.
As the snow continues to fall, officials remind residents to stay informed and drive cautiously as road conditions will change throughout the day.
