LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A century of service, sacrifice and stories was celebrated this weekend in Louisville.
William Mitchell Jr., a proud World War II veteran and longtime postal service worker, turned 100 years old. He was surrounded by friends, family and a community forever grateful for his life and legacy.
The celebration was held at the William H. Mitchell Jr. Fellowship Hall at Westwood Presbyterian Church.
Mitchell's century-long journey included storming shores overseas and delivering letters in his hometown.
