LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Porch Kitchen and Bar is celebrating Mint Julep Month the best way they know how - with a specialty cocktail.
Porch Kitchen & Bar general manager Shawn Broadway visited WDRB Mornings on Wednesday to talk more about the specialty cocktail.
Porch is partnered up with the Kentucky Humane Society to bring their guests the Ethan Almighty cocktail.
Ethan captured the hearts of people all over the country with his story of survival after he was dumped at the Kentucky Humane Society several years ago. Since then, he has grown into a 200-pound ball of love who lives the life with his owner Jeff Callaway, who was previously the facilities director at KHS.
The cocktail gives the perfect Mint Julep vibes, as described by Broadway on WDRB Mornings.
It features Old Forester, mint-infused sweet tea, double-smoked maple bacon, and is garnished with mint leaves.
Broadway said the partnership with KHS was a "match made in heaven" as the smoky, feel-good vibes on the cocktail intertwine perfectly with Ethan's bold personality.
You can get a cocktail of your own at Porch's special Whiskey Wednesday events, a monthly spirit-focused initiative to highlight their extensive spirit offerings and introduce bourbons to their guests.
