LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- 911 calls from the emergency rescue of a driver from a semitruck dangling over the Kennedy Bridge were released Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews rescued a driver Sunday morning after a crash on Interstate 65 near downtown Louisville. The crash involving a semitruck happened around 9:50 a.m. on the Kennedy Bridge, according to TRIMARC.

Louisville Metro Police said the tractor-trailer was going southbound when the driver lost control for an unknown reason and hit the rail of the bridge.

The emergency dispatcher answers, "Hello this is 911."

The driver says, "Can y'all please help me, I'm about to ... I'm about to fall down off from the bridge."

The dispatcher asks, "Where are you?"

Police said the crash caused the cab of the tractor to hang over the rail with the driver inside.

"I'm just hanging off the bridge, I don't want to die," the driver says.

A few moments later, the driver said to emergency dispatchers, "I can't ... I'm even afraid to move in the truck right now. I'm just ... oh my gosh. This is ... f*** me bro."

The dispatcher asks, "Is it just the cab hanging over?"

"I don't know, I don't know. I'm just looking at the ground right now," he responds.

"We're getting them headed your way, just stay very still," the dispatcher says.

"I'm not even moving," he answers.

"They're coming, OK, we've got everyone coming to you," the dispatcher says.

"Can you please stay on the phone," he asks.

They continue to talk on the phone. He told the emergency dispatcher that the truck was carrying packages.

He later said all he can see is the road beneath him. He then says it's like a nightmare.

He then laughs and says, "why do I got to die tonight?"

Louisville Fire and LMPD responded to the crash.

"They're going to get you out, you're going to be OK, OK?" the emergency dispatcher responds to the driver.

"Is it even possible? You don't know. You just ..." he said.

"I know they can get you out. They have done it before," the dispatcher answers. "This happened about, I want to say a year ago as well and they got the person out."

Firefighters used a rope to bring the driver to safety.

LMPD said the driver was conscious and alert. No one was injured in the crash.
