LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County coroner's office has identified a 27-year-old man who was fatally shot in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood Monday morning.

Louisville Metro Police Spokesman Dwight Mitchell said police responded to a call of a shooting at the intersection of Dixie Highway and W. Lee Street around 12:25 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to University Hospital where he later died of his injuries, according to Mitchell.

The victim was identified as Bryce Mitchell.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating. There are no known suspects.
