LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A second victim has died after four people were shot in Louisville's Russell neighborhood in January.

The shooting happened on Jan. 31. Louisville Metro Police said officers were called to the area of South 12th Street and West Muhammad Ali Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. Witnesses said they heard several gunshots and ran for cover.

One man, identified as Corey Dillard, 22, died and three other men were critically injured. 

Monday, while checking with LMPD on homicide data for the city, WDRB News learned that a second victim had died at the hospital the day after the shooting. Police have not yet provided an update on the other two victims.

No information has been released about the second victim. LMPD said the investigation is still active and the Homicide Unit is still searching for suspects.

"Obviously this is in broad daylight, and we strongly believe somebody saw something," LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell said the day of the shooting.
