LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An arrest warrant has been issued for a southern Indiana man accused of setting fire to a Sellersburg gas station.

According to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, an arrest warrant has been issued for Sunil Salyan after a fire tore through the Sunoco gas station in Sellersburg last month.

Tuesday, IDHS investigators said the fire was set intentionally by Salyan, the gas station's former owner. Salyan was leasing the property before the gas station closed. Investigators said surveillance video showed a vehicle, driven by Salyan, arrive at the station and then leave shortly before the fire started.

A Clark County judge signed an arrest warrant for Salyan Feb. 28, according to court records.

Multiple fire crews arrived to the gas station the 7300 block of Appleleaf Lane just before midnight Feb. 10 on a reported fire. Crews arrived to find the gas station fully engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported.

Arson investigators ask anyone with information about the fire or Salyan's whereabouts to call the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628.
