LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Public Schools will host an information session next week about proposed school start time adjustments.
The virtual session will be held Tuesday, April 30, at 6 p.m., the district said in a social media post on Friday.
It will include a presentation on proposed start time adjustments and a Q&A portion.Â
Louisville's public school system said start times will be reviewed after the district made changes to transportation for next school year, cutting bus routes for thousands of students who attend magnet and traditional schools — with the exception of Central and Western high schools.
Board member Linda Duncan has previously told WDRB News the plans around start times include consolidation. Going from nine times down to three, 7:30 a.m., 8:40 a.m. and 9:40 a.m., to accommodate busing.
But that plan still needs approval from the Jefferson County Board of Education.
