LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center is set to host Kentucky's indoor high school state championship next spring.
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association will hold its indoor track and field state championship in March 2024, the first time the meet has been held at the athletic facility in the Russell neighborhood.
"We are confident that this is the beginning of a long partnership that will continue to allow our student athletes a fantastic high school experience," KHSAA commissioner Julian Tackett said in a news release Monday. "We thank the well-oiled machine of our coaches association for executing a successful event there in the past and setting a high bar for our next official state championship in early March 2024."
According to a news release, the indoor track season starts Dec. 2 with the KTCCCA College Opener.Ā Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center is booked with a record-breaking number of indoor track meets.
