LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Those who live in Bullitt County will soon have a hospital closer to home.
UofL Health South opened its fast-track emergency room back in October. But the rest of the hospital will open to the community on March 18.
The new hospital sits off Interstate 65 and Brooks Road. Leaders said the hospital will be a lifeline in Bullitt County.
Right now, it's the largest county in Kentucky without an inpatient hospital. UofL South will make it possible for patients to stay closer to home and their families.
