LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Wild Lights is making a return to the Louisville Zoo for a fifth year.
In a release, the Zoo said tickets are on sale now for the popular lantern festival, which will run 38 select nights from March 23 through May 19, 2024. For ticket information, click here. Â
Wild Lights features more than 60 displays of hand-crafted, illuminated art displays on a 1.4-mile path. Included this year will be themed areas depicting nature, coral reefs and Chinese mythology.
Special features include a blooming morning glory corridor, a 23-foot-tall octopus and a walk-through phoenix tunnel. There are also lanterns that are interactive.
Cultural performances by Chinese folk dancers, acrobats and more are also planned.
The event is rain or shine and is fully-accessible on a paved path that is wheelchair and stroller-friendly.
The festival runs 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday nights. The event will be open every night during the Jefferson County Public Schools' spring break April 1 to 5.
A special preview night exclusively for Louisville Zoo members will be held on March 22.

New for 2024, there are a limited number of "Anytime Tickets" redeemable for any night of the event available for purchase.
Regular daytime Zoo admission tickets and Wild Lights tickets must be purchased separately.
Parking for this event is $7 and can be purchased in advance online or at the Zoo admission windows.
