LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Versailles man who showed up at University of Kentucky Hospital in 2021 armed with explosives pleaded guilty.
Bryan Carroll, 46, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of carrying an explosive.
Officials said Carroll was headed into UK Hospital when officers met him outside the Emergency Department. Police located a total of eight firearms, four explosive devices and an improvised bomb in his vehicle.
In addition to what the officials found, Carroll admitted to having more devices at his home. Upon investigation, law enforcement located two additional firearms as well as six other improvised explosive bombs.
Carroll is scheduled to be sentenced in March 2024. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
